EMPATHY MAP

I get to know about events form either Instagram, mails or friends.

Event organizers should schedule events at times that allow students to manage both their classes and the event.

Promoting an event is tiring due to multiple sources, such as classroom publicity and posters.

I wish to see all event details, including the speaker, topic, and giveaways.

I hope to sync my work/university schedule with the event schedule.

I hope to read reviews from last year's event to decide if it's worth attending.

I hope to find a way to increase the participation.

Check Instagram posts, stories, and emails from organizers, and talk to friends to learn about upcoming events.

Sees the timing and venue of the event and then checks his own schedule to see it it is feasible for him to attend or not

Promote an event on multiple platforms to increase participation.

Keep contacting other organizers and students to get to know about their occupied dates.

Feels that if seniors recommend a particular event, it will be easier to understand it’s worth and then attend the event

Hopeful to find similar minded people at the event.

Sad that sometimes he misses on an event which would have been a great opportunity for networking.

Exhausted from promoting the event across numerous channels to increase participation.

USER RESEARCH

I conducted user research through surveys and engaging in conversations and interviews with students and organizers to understand their pain points and challenges. This approach allowed me to gather valuable insights and identify recurring themes among their experiences.

How do you get to know about an events?

On what basis do you decide if that event is worth visiting or is important or not?

Do you ask your seniors if they attended a similar event and if that was helpful or not?

Has it ever happened to you that since you were busy with other stuff, you somehow ended up missing the event?

Do you think that attending events help a lot in networking?

As an organizer, what all challenges do you face?
